Valentine's Day is all about telling the one you love
just how much you they mean to you.

My husband and I have been married nearly seventeen years.
There's not another person on Earth
who knows me better than he does.
Dear Husband is a GREAT gift giver!

Some might say that getting practical items like
IRONS...
 or POTS & PANS
 or TOASTERS

are the most unromantic gift a guy could get!

But one Valentine's Day a few years back,
I came home after a hectic day of running errands
to find two boxes sitting in the middle
of the family room floor.

I couldn't have been happier with my new vacuum
and the ceiling fan for my daughter's room!

Who needs roses?

Well ... Gabby does!

In my newest release, HEART ACHE,
Nikolai forgets to let his Heartmate know
what she means to him until it's almost too late.

One Touch
Gabrielle Ryan felt an electric attraction to her new employer the first time he reached out and shook her hand. She dreams of him, fantasizes about him, but all Nikolai wants is an assistant—and to Gabby’s chagrin, it’s not to assist him with taking off his pants!

One Beat
An ache has inhabited Nikolai Voinea’s chest for the last four hundred years. Yet stubbornly resolute not to repeat his father’s mistakes, Nikolai refuses to take the one female who is his heart’s greatest desire.

Captures His Heart Forever
When murder charges make Gabby second guess everything she knows about him, she’s hurt and angry and determined to walk away. But Nikolai’s just as determined to do everything within his power to keep her.
Heart Ache is available on Kindle, Nook & other Ebook
as well as Autographed Paperback

4.5 Stars for HEART ACHE from Good Choice Reading

a HUGE thanks to Wanda for always taking a chance on my newest release. This time I sent her an ARC for HEART ACHE
and was thrilled to hear her thoughts...
"Morgan was able to switch gears from fiction to paranormal with ease. Which is why it was easy for me  to fall right into her story. I'm normally very skeptical in reading a novel by an author who I know writes in a certain genre and switches to another. It's usually a difficult transition, but not for her. I've enjoyed all her other words in print so I had high hopes for Heart Ache. I've had the pleasure of working with Morgan and getting to know her as an author, so I know how much of herself she pours in her books. To which I must say Morgan delivered!

Heart Ache was a well thought out novel. I absolutely LOVE the main character Niko. Wait, he doesn't like to be called that. Forgive me, it's Nikolai. In most books your main character is a female but in Heart Ache there's two, Gabrielle and Nikolai, however my favorite is Nikolai. Most male protagonists are all macho and obnoxious. But from the beginning Nikolai showed a soft side to him which was quite endearing. His nervousness made him even more sexy and adorable. Which is probably why he has Gabby eating out of his hands without even knowing. Even though they both crazy about each other, their stubbornness gets in their way of each others happiness.

Morgan came up with thee most unique idea for this story. She created a vampire world with a great twist. I take my hat off to her for making up this world and writing it to perfection. I am in awe on how this world was so easily processed in my head. I had no problems visualizing every scene. Heartache has a bit of everything, love, suspense and thriller. She mastered it all in one book! Kudos to one of my favorite authors! She outdid herself yet once again. 4.5 out of 5 stars! A must buy and a definite Good Choice for Reading!"

HEART ACHE is available via Kindle, Nook, other Ebook
as well as Autographed Paperback

HEART ACHE is on sale now!

"Heart Ache is about two people Gabrielle Ryan and her boss Nikolai Voinea
who are desperately attracted to one another but are too stubborn to tell one another.
Gabby doesn't want to be accused of throwing herself at her boss
and Niko doesn't want to interfere with Gabby's free will.
You would think that would be a big enough situation to deal with
but Morgan ALWAYS knows how to keep you on your toes.
Enter Gabrielle's fiancée Jayson McDade and Nikolai's ex-girlfriend Natasha.
The introduction of these two characters bring about great conflict for all parties involved.
And that's what I love about Morgan,
she always makes her characters work for their happily ever after.
Nothing ever comes easy and the journey always has a price."

Six Sentence Sunday (1/22) ~ Heart Ache

Welcome Back, Sixers!

We're visiting Nikolai and Gabrielle again today.
HEART ACHE comes out THIS WEEK!

In today's snippet, Nikolai anticipates her return to work.

*****

He needed her like a drowning man needed air! His entire life had fallen apart in the time she’d been recovering from the flu. This morning alone, he’d nearly climbed into the damned filing cabinet and still couldn’t find the file he needed. He slammed the drawer and scanned his office for where he should search next.
Thump-thump.
Thump-thump.

Sweet Saturday Snippet (1/21) ~ Heart Ache

In today's Sample, HEART ACHE's Nikolai Voinea is awaiting Gabrielle's return to work.
She's been sick and life hasn't been the same without her.

*****

Thump-thump.
Thump-thump.
His blood sensed her a split second before he heard her.
The door to his office opened. Her tropical scent flooded the room; coconut and lemongrass. Her breath hitched. “Hey. I didn’t expect you to be here this early.”
His whole body warmed at the sound of her sweet voice. Thankfully his back faced the doorway. He needed a minute to compose himself. He took a deep breath, listening to her movements as she approached.
“Niko? Are you okay?”
Every footstep, every whisper of her clothing screamed through the silent air to his sensitive hearing as she crossed the room to him. He braced himself for the moment when he would turn and face the female who haunted his days, his nights, and every moment in between.
The light touch of her fingers brushing over his shoulder wasn’t necessarily a surprise, but knowledge didn’t stop the sharp intake of breath and his jump at her contact.
Startled by his reaction, she gasped, a quiet cooing sound that was nearly his undoing.
He turned with solemn reverence to observe the angel in front of him. He had to remind himself to keep his expression in check as he forced an emotionless smile.
Gabrielle Ryan, with her shiny auburn hair, her porcelain skin, and slim, toned body, caused every part of him to react to her mere presence. Her blue eyes searched his eyes, his face.
“I’m sorry. I thought you heard me come in.”
“You just surprised me.” He couldn’t very well tell her he craved her touch more than his next breath.
Her hand moved to touch the bare skin where his shirt had been rolled way from his forearm. Her brows crinkled. “Are you okay?”
“Yes. Are you feeling better?”
She smiled. “Much.”
“Glad to hear it. I hope you had a nice weekend?”
Weekends were an excruciating reality that bit him in the ass two days out of every seven. It was those two days he missed her like a man possessed. It was those two days he fretted over her social calendar. Gabby was beautiful and, to Nikolai’s horror, he wasn’t the only male–vampire or human–who’d noticed.
“My weekend was okay,” she whispered, using her bejeweled left hand to brush a curl away from her cheek.
Oh, sweet Goddess, no.
His stomach rolled, his heart threatened to beat right out of his chest, as he saw the pathetic excuse for a diamond that had been placed on her finger by a male who wasn’t him.
He choked back his wounded pride and breaking heart. “What’s that on your finger, Gabby?”
She took a deep breath, holding it for moment before exhaling. Her cheeks flooded with color and her eyes suddenly found the carpeting the most interesting thing in the room.
“I’m engaged.”

HEART ACHE gets 5 stars!

Thank you to Raquel from Skyla11377 Book Reviews!

"Morgan has another great book on her hands. ... Her Vampire's are not part of the usually cookie cutter variety, which gets her high marks for originality.

... Heart Ache is one of those stories that touches a part of you and makes you appreciate the little things in life. On a scale from 1-10 I give Heart Ache a big 10. This was a great Vampire love story with a different twist. If you are looking for true love, Vampires, danger, and a story that keeps you on your toes then Heart Ache is the book for you. I eagerly await book 2 in this series. Everyone adult 18+ (there are a few parts that might be a little to intense for some) should pick up a copy of Heart Ache and let Gabrielle and Nikolai's journey bind you to them."

Heart Ache is currently available in Paperback, Kindle, Nook & other Ebook

Writer Wednesday: I hate sick kids!

It's been one of those days! We all have them. We all dread them. And yet, when we have a calendar full of better things to do, life intervenes.

As I typed the words "I hate sick kids" into my facebook status, I hit the backspace button and opened up blogger. Those four little words, typed in that order, reminded me of the age old problem. Writing is all about wording and commas and getting the point across in the way the author intended.

No, I do not hate sick kids. I do, however, hate when my kids are sick. "Mom, I threw up all over my bed," whispered by my 8yo son at 2:30 in the morning are words I most certainly hate. Actually, I loathe them! After returning to bed at 3:30, after disinfecting his bedroom, I never got back into a nice, deep sleep.

So call it insanity, insomnia, or blathering idiocy, I needed rant a bit, and clarify myself...to myself.

Rest assured, I do not hate sick kids. In fact, I love my children always--even when they're sick. What I do hate is the stomach bug currently plaguing my family!

Anybody got the name of a good exterminator?

On a better note: I was able to contribute 1500 words to my current WIP today! Favorite line:
“I’m not hard. I mean, it’s not hard.” He shook his head and felt heat rise in his cheeks at her giggle. “No, thanks. I can handle it.”

Six Sentence Sunday (1/15) ~ Heart Ache

Good Morning, Sixers!

Today's Six comes from HEART ACHE, due out January 24th.

As with last week, Gabrielle is still sick. Blech! Poor girl.
Nikolai has served her the soup he brought and is now preparing to leave.

*****

“I can see myself out. Rest well, Gabrielle.”
Walking out of her apartment was torture, plain and simple. He paused in the hall and stared at her closed door. Running his hand over the cool metal he wished he could go back inside. Instead he walked away, anticipating the dead feeling that accompanied their separation.

Six Sentence Sunday (1/8) ~ Heart Ache

Today's Six comes from HEART ACHE
scheduled release January 24, 2012.

Nikolai is a vampire and Gabby is his heartmate,
the one female capable of filling the ache that's lingered in his chest for 400 years.

In this snippet, Gabby is sick and Nikolai being Nikolai stops by to bring her some soup.

“How are you feeling?” He stared into her bloodshot eyes, noting her red nose, and wild disarray of curls barely contained by a rubber band.
Did she have any idea how adorable she was?
She coughed, sneezed … and farted. Her blush from earlier was nothing compared to the crimson she sported now.
       “Excuse me.”
