Hello Siobhan, I'm glad you were able to stop by for a few minutes to discuss HER DEVOTED VAMPIRE. I'm really excited to catch up with Frederick and Bridgette. But first, I'd like to talk a little about you.

Do you prefer Cats or Dogs? Cats, definitely cats. The best dogs are the skulls I have around the house. ;) Ha! I'll make sure to keep Gus safely away from your house...lol :)

Okay, let's talk books. What do you do when you're not writing? I actually do research in the field of paleontology. My specialty is fossil canids (dogs, wolves, foxes, and coyotes) and I often spend some time identifying the teeth for other paleontologists (see why I like dead dogs?). ;) Very cool! And yes, I understand now. No offense, but I'm going to still keep an eye on you around Gus. *wink*

When did you write your first story? I wrote my first story in 6th grade for a teacher who said we could make a book. It was called “The Phoenix and the Girl.” Guess what it was about? ;) I even got to illustrate it. The Phoenix was actually a gigantic drawing of a sparrow that I traced from somewhere and I don’t remember what I used for the “girl”. I think I have copy of it around here somewhere. That's awesome. You really should dig it out.

What genre do you prefer to read? My first love was science-fiction/fantasy and my library is full of my favorites. I’ve written several stories in that genre. But after my husband gave me a paranormal romance, which combines romance and sci-fi/fantasy, I was a goner. ;) HA! The best of both worlds. Love it!

Okay, so please, please, please tell the people about your awesome new book.

The story of Bridget Shanahan and Fredrick MacGregor came about when I wondered what it would be liked to be kidnapped by a really sexy guy, when he thought he was rescuing me. How would I react? How would he react to my hostility? Her Devoted Vampire came from those questions.

Here is the blurb:

Bridget doesn't believe in vampires or werewolves, but that doesn't stop one from kidnapping her.

BRIDGET SHANAHAN’S life seems bleak and boring until she gets mugged and abducted from her favorite coffee shop by the sexiest man she’s ever met. Unfortunately, he’s a lunatic who believes he’s some kind of vampire savior surrounded by a security force of werewolves and he’s determined to keep her.

FREDRICK MACGREGOR has been having visions of this woman in danger for the last six months, a woman he must protect because she’s the Avatar of the Goddess. However, when he brings her home, she doesn’t believe he's a vampire or that she is the Avatar, and she definitely doesn't want to stay. But the sense of danger persists and he'll do anything to keep her safe, even if it means risking the loss of the only woman who makes his endless life bearable again.

LOVE THAT!

  1. Hmm...the most unusual thing that has happened to me. I guess it would have to be that I have seen a ghost and felt many. I was only about 13 at the time, but I definitely saw him clear as day, as if it was a normal person standing there. The strange thing is that I wasn't scared.

Siobhan, is this going to be a series or a stand alone? I read the blurbs from your upcoming books and they sound really interesting. Thanks.

    1. This one is a stand-alone, but it introduces the world in which most of my other stories appear. You might even see some of the other characters get their own stories. Thanks for commenting. :)

  2. Great question! I wish I had something cool to say like getting kidnapped by a vampire, but unfortunately I've got nothing:) Still waiting for something unusual to happen.

  3. I think the thing I never expected to happen to me(Does that count?) was to have Elizabeth (Esme Cullen) Reaser come to my book release party once. I think that was pretty unusual! lol
